2014 冬季オリンピック

ブルガリアでは、冬季オリンピック開催にむけて、
フィギュアスケート・アイスダンス世界チャンピョン、
アルベナ・デンコワ＆マキシム・スタビスキーが
国際オリンピック委員会に「ソフィア招致」を働きかけています。

このニュースとほぼ同時に、競技生活続行のコメント。
チャンピョンとして、ブルガリアでも様々な活動をし、
忙しく過ごしているのでしょう。
同じ大陸とはいえ、オリンピック委員会本部スイス・ローザンヌと
ソフィアの往復。
無理なく、なによりもケガをしないよう、シーズンに合わせて、
素敵な舞を見せてほしいです。

Albena Denkova, Maxim Staviski Back Sofia Olympics Bid in Lausanne

Bulgarian world figure skating champions Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski leave Wednesday for Lausanne to back Sofia's bid to host the 2014 Olympic Games.

The news was revealed by Albena and Maxim who pointed out that Sofia has the chance to continue in the next round of the "competition" and vowed to do their best in Lausanne.

The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will meet in Lausanne from 21 to 23 June 2006.

On its second day of meetings, the EB will accept the Candidate Cities to host the XXII Olympic Winter Games in 2014 from the Applicant Cities of Sochi (Russia), Salzburg (Austria), Jaca (Spain), Almaty (Kazakhstan), PyeongChang (Republic of Korea), Sofia (Bulgaria), and Borjomi (Georgia).
